Born in Ghana, but raised in the lower mainland Desmond is a former professional footballer, turned coach.  Having  played professionally across North America and Europe, Desmond brings with him an unparalleled soccer acumen, experience,  and network. A nationally CSA licensed coach with over 15 years  of experience, Desmond has coached all levels of athletes from youth, to adults, post-secondary teams and semi-professional teams. Desmond has also worked extensively in volunteer and charitable capacities, including in North Carolina, USA and in Jamaica, using soccer to connect with inequity experiencing and racialized youth through the beautiful game.

Bringing together her passion for sport with her extensive experience in development work, community relations and education, Alexis supports B2B Impact's Community Programs. Alexis holds a Master's Degree in International Development and is a PhD candidate in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University.  She is also an experienced English Language Teacher, tutor and workshop facilitator,  integrating anti-racist, decolonial and feminist approaches to foster empathy, learning, critical thinking and creativity. Alexis currently works as a consultant, providing her expertise to governments, non-profits and corporations in areas such as research impact, learning design, and equity, diversity and inclusion. 

Raphael is a partner and head of Gowling WLG's Private Client Services Group in Vancouver, as well as an avid soccer fan.  An active member of the legal community, Raphael is the former president of the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers (CABL), and has been a member of several committees of the Canadian Bar Association and the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association. He also sits on the editorial board of Canadian Lawyer magazine.
